THE PURPOSE
I created a poster to advertise a fake exhibition, which would showcase two designers of my choosing, who are April Greiman and Jaume Plensa. I came up with the title "Human" due to both artists' work incorporating the human anatomy and figure.
PROCESS
Below is the initial poster I created with the mock-up. I wanted to prioritize merging the two art styles of both artists, since the event would showcase their work. I incorporated April Greiman's art style through the wavey text and psychedelic pattern, while for Jaume Plensa, I used his artwork as the imagery. In my research, I noticed both artists used bright colors, so I integrated this as well.
THE FINAL POSTER
During the initial critique, I was told the imagery overpowered the title and information, which I noticed and understood. Therefore, I adjusted my poster to address this issue and made the final design. I am satisfied with the finalized poster overall and I enjoyed the process of creating it.
